A Few Important Questions

Please take a moment to answer these questions about how you would like your vision focused after cataract surgery. Your answers can help us evaluate which type of IOL might be best for you and your lifestyle.

  1. 1.How interested are you in seeing at a distance (driving, golf, etc. ) without glasses after your cataract surgery?
  2. Are you interested in seeing well up close (reading distance) without glasses after cataract surgery?
  3. If you had to wear glasses after cataract surgery for one of the following activities, which one would you be MOST willing to wear glasses for?
  4. If you could have good vision for driving during the day without glasses, and good near vision without glasses in most situations, would you be willing to tolerate some halos and glare around lights at night?
  5. If you could have good distance vision day and night, and good vision for computer work without glasses, would you be willing to wear glasses for reading fine print and small type?
  6. Have you ever worn contact lenses for monovision (one eye focuses for distance, one eye focused for near)? If so, were you successful with this?
  7. If you were a monovision contact lens wearer, do you remember which eye was focused for near vision?
