Eye Associates of New Mexico

Some of the discussion highlighted how easily some employees can be demotivated and the difference between being a leader or being a manager and running your own race. During the hour long presentation, Dr. Melendez encouraged audience participation with humor, common sense questioning and sharing his own experiences on what has worked in his practice.

Dr. Melendez attributed Frank J. Mares, MD, along with his mother’s blinding eye disease, as being instrumental in his decision to enter the field of ophthalmology, and referred to Dr. Mares as his mentor, whom he highly respects.

Both Drs. Melendez and Mares are solid contributors to Eye Associates philosophy of great patient care and compassion.
