I had THE BEST experience with this group last week. Just a delightful group of people-- from the receptionist to the nurse, to the doctor! It is SO rare these days to have an experience like that, especially here in Santa Fe. So, I'm not sure where all these poor reviews are coming from. The wait was no more than 10 minutes and Amanda (nurse or assistant--??) was probably THE sweetest medical personnel I've ever dealt with (my husband was a physician in another state, so we've dealt with many). Amanda was just SO pleasant and so VERY thorough. Then, Dr. Chan was just as thorough and extremely pleasant, as well. She gave me all sorts of useful tips on caring for my dry eyes and early stages of cataracts-- as well as an eye examination and vision testing. They are not participating with my insurance but my husband insisted I go here anyway and pay out of pocket because they were so thorough and extremely friendly (and it was not that pricey, at all). My son and husband have both been seen by this group before, as well, and they, too, just raved about the place/the nurses/the doctors. It makes "going to the doctors" a heck of a lot more tolerable when the staff is as delightful as these folks all were. Thanks!!

Great Doctors and wonderful service

What a great experience. The old building with ivy is right at MLK and 25. So much character. Everyone was so nice. And I barely had to wait for any part of my yearly eye exam. Dr Koschmeder was great. My eyes are chronically dry and he was able to put tear duct plugs in on my first visit. He is very bright and engaging and the tear duct procedure did not hurt at all. Very nice people and easy to deal with. A yearly eye exam does take some time. But they have a tv in the waiting room and try to make this a comfortable experiment. Very grateful to find a competent Dr.whom I can trust with my eyes...

Dr Mares is fantastic. He saved my eye. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable. Awesome Dr. The techs are great as well <br><br>As far as the administrative area, they really need work. The eye group needs to look at their office procedures and need a good office manager in Santa Fe. For a large company, they aren't very efficient. Also need survey forms available. Phone system an issue also. <br><br>Otherwise, it's a great group of eye Drs. Glad we have them.
